The event will be held from 11am to 2pm in the Humphrey Booth Lecture Theatre 1 and 2, Mayo Building, Salford Care Organisation, M6 8HD.
The event aims to unite attendees, raise awareness, and help build support for those with living with the rare and complex condition of intestinal failure (IF).
The awareness initiative is part of an international campaign led by the European Nutrition Health Alliance (ENHA) to improve the care of those living with IF and will become an annual event on 1 February; hence ‘1F’ forms part of the logo.
The event is free to attend and will feature a range of activities including stalls, a tombola, fun darts, jewelry making/selling, face painting, the Clean Hands Challenge, a raffle, special sponsored events such as a beard shave, and a 10K fun run scheduled for May 2025.
Attendees can also look forward to insightful talks from both healthcare professionals and patients, highlighting lived experiences. The event has been organised jointly with PINNT, the national support group for people receiving artificial nutrition.
Everyone’s invited: those living with IF and their families and friends; health care professionals; and anyone who wants to find out more and support the endeavor of raising awareness of this rare condition. The more the merrier… please just turn up – we guarantee you’ll enjoy the day!
