Jo Stevens, a team lead in the Community Stroke and Neurorehabilitation Team, has taken part in the Running Out of Time Climate Relay to raise awareness of climate change, celebrate great climate work and inspire action.
The relay leg was 11km long from Stalybridge Station to St. Margaret Mary Primary school in New Moston. The idea of the relay as well as to register collective alarm at the climate change emergency is to take the idea of green travel to as many schools as possible, so when Jo and members of the Green Runners Group passed the primary schools, students were out in force cheering them on.
Jo said: “This relay was a great way to show support for the amazing job that Running Out of Time are doing to raise awareness of green issues - and what better way to start off my Friday than a ride before work.”
