Our Colleague Award Winners 2024

11 February 2025

Last week we held our NCA Colleague Awards 2024 Ceremony at The Sheridan in Manchester.  On the night, our winners were announced and it was also revealed who took home our Chief and the Chair’s outstanding achievement awards.

More than 330 guests attended the event including finalists, colleagues and sponsors.  The evening was opened by Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) Interim Chair Professor Dame Robina Shah and co-hosted by radio and TV broadcaster Natalie Pike.

This year we welcomed a well-loved plus one, Atlas the dog, a guest of Bury volunteer Tina Walton who scooped the Volunteer of the Year accolade.

Gertie Nic Philib, NCA chief people and strategy and people officer said: “What an amazing night of celebration and recognition. All our finalists should be incredibly proud of making the shortlist.  We had over 1,200 nominations and it was a tough decision to decide the shortlist and even harder to decide on the winner.

“Your stories are inspiring and humbling, with your hard work making such a difference to the care we give our patients and service users. It is also uplifting to hear how we support each other and look out for the well-being of our colleagues.

“Many congratulations to our winners who are role models for our values of Care, Appreciate and Inspire.  This was my first NCA Colleague Awards and It was wonderful to share such a lovely evening with colleagues who are living our values every day. “

Congratulations to our winners and to all those individuals and teams that made the shortlist.
